F.A.Q.
What’s a Content Cryptid and what does it do?
The word ‘content’ has several meanings. It is ‘something that fills an empty space’. This suggests the space has boundaries, that it may even be a space that actively needs filling.
‘Content’ also means the ideas and facts and events in a book, or a film, or an article, or even your social media bio. So we have the idea of filling a space, and the meaning of what we choose to fill it with. What are the ideas filling the space, what is the story? Do the ideas fit the space?
A cryptid is a modern-day creature that is talked about in urban legends, such as Bigfoot, or the Loch Ness Monster, or this one – the harahorn, or jackalope (although it’s not usually associated with typewriters). Cryptids are an example of the power of storytelling. They have not been scientifically proven to exist, but they have been created by the communication of ideas.
‘Content’ has a third meaning, which is to feel happy and satisfied. Often that comes after we’re no longer troubled by an empty or ill-filled space.
The Content Cryptid is a creature that fills empty spaces with ideas and information, bringing feelings of happiness and satisfaction. And this is what it does for clients.
